Frequently Asked Questions
How long have you been doing Photography?
I’ve been interested in Photography since a very young age. I continued taking photos in high school and in my early college days. It wasn’t until May of 2010 that I decided to start my business and start taking Photos for Others besides my Family and Friends. I’m self taught, and still continuing to improve my work 🙂
How do I book a session?
You can contact me through Facebook Message, Email, or the Contact option on this site. I will need to know the the Type of Session you are interested in, Name, and Contact information. I will give you a list of Available days and times. I will confirm with you a day or two before the scheduled session day to make sure the session is still as planned. If I don’t get a confirmation by 9:00 pm the day before the session, I will assume the Session is cancelled.
Where do most sessions take place? Who chooses the location?
You get to choose your Farmington location. I do offer popular location suggestions. Sessions take place around the Farmington Area. Areas such as Durango, Shiprock, Albuquerque are available but a travel fee will be added to the Session price.
When is the Session Fee Due? How do I pay? Payment Plans?
Session fees will be collected right after the Session. I only accept Cash. Please bring the correct amount. I usually don’t have change. I will NOT accept Checks, due to the many bad checks and experiences that have previously occurred in the past. If you do decide to pay with a card, payment will be collected through Paypal and will need to be paid 5 days prior to the session. Paypal payments are non-refundable but transferable towards another session.
I do offer payment plans such as pay half at the time of the session and half at the time of pickup for the bigger packages only. Photo CD will NOT be released until Full payment is made.
What should I wear? What do you suggest?
Weather appropriate outfits is always suggested. I usually suggest colors: Spring/Summer: Pastel, white, Coral, Navy Blue, Turquoise, aqua, beige, denim, pink Fall: Black, Maroon, Brown, Dark Orange, Ivory, Olive Green, Plaid, dark Yellow, denim Winter: Black, Red, Grey, Maroon, Ivory, Plaid, brown
For Family and Couple Sessions, same color combinations always look nice! But I always suggest wear outfits that make you feel comfortable. Your personal style is what makes you You! 🙂 Pinterest and Google are always helpful in finding outfit ideas.
What to expect at a session? How long does a session last? Can I bring my own props?
Sessions will last about an hour. Mini Sessions usually last about 15 minutes to 25 minutes. We will meet at the chosen location. From then, well work around the location. Basically, well have fun!! I like to make sessions fun and comfortable. Right after the Session, I will have you fill out the Portrait Agreement and collect payment. Props are welcome!
Family Sessions: Consist of Family poses, Couple poses, Sibling poses, individual Children poses, Each parent with children pose, and a few candid Poses.
Couples Session: With Couples expect some hand holding, eye staring, and some kisses! I usually ask before hand with what your comfortable with. Not all Couples are the same. I like to keep the session comfortable and if your uncomfortable, it will show in the photos. I like couples to have fun! Any props are always welcome!
Child/Siblings Session/Seniors: We will move around the location. Work with different poses. Young Children may take a little more work and help from Parents. Some children may be photogenic at home and at the session, they may not seem photogenic due to not knowing me or unfamiliar locations. But don’t worry, I will try and get that smile. Parents are free to bring a toy or use a phone to show child’s favorite song or youtube video. Seniors are free to bring any props, such as guitars, skateboards, books, any item they would like to incorporate into their photos.
Newborn: Newborn sessions can last up to 2.5 hours. It all depends on the baby. It’s best to bring formula, diapers, pacifier, and burping cloth.
Can my pet be included into the session? is there a charge?
Yes! Pets are welcome. I do ask that pets be trained to sit or be held during the posing. No charges for pets if they are added to the session.
Will my Session be posted on the Nicole Bradley Photography website and Social Media?
I only post by Permission. If you don’t give me permission, they will not be posted.
I scheduled a Session, but I have to cancel/reschedule due to sickness/family emergency/unexpected situation…. is that okay?
I know things happen unexpectedly. But if you have to cancel, PLEASE let me know at least 24- 48 hours in advance. Any No shows or last minute cancellations (I.E. 10 minutes before Session is scheduled) will no longer tolerated. It’s unfair for me to show up at the session location ready to go and a last minute cancellation happens or worse, a no show. I don’t want to charge deposit fees for sessions, so please, if you have to cancel, let me know asap.
How long will it take to get my Photo CD? Printing suggestions?
Turnaround time is 1 week (7 days) for Sessions. Events and Weddings will take up to 2.5 to 3 Weeks. I will either meet you or mail your CD to you depending on what is agreed on. As for Printing, I highly suggest online printing sites such as Mpix.com and Shutterfly.com. For local printing, most of my clients have told me Sam’s Club is good. Walmart is very unpredictable, sometimes they come out perfect and other times they can come out too dark or blurry. Printing locations are up to you. Nicole Bradley photography is not responsible for Printing outcome or quality due to chosen printing locations.
How long do you store Session photos?
I highly recommend making copies once you get your CD. Upload them to computers, save them to hard drives and USBs. I delete Sessions after One year from the Session date. This helps my computer from running slow. With so many sessions I do yearly, I have to delete Yearly. If you do unexpectedly lose your CD within the year, you can purchased another copy for $25.
The Weather isn’t Photo-friendly the day of the Session, what happens now?
Unfortunately, we can’t control the weather. I usually shoot in almost all weathers. But if it’s heavily raining or snowing, or very windy or icy. We will have to reschedule to the next available day.
I’m running late to the Session/Cd Pickup Meet, is that okay?
For Sessions, I will wait no more than 20 Minutes! After 20 minutes, I will leave and the session will have to be rescheduled even if you’d informed me. There will also be a $25 fee added to the next session fee. For CD pickup meets, I will wait no more than 10 minutes. After 10 minutes, I will leave and your CD will be mailed.
Do you do body/facial retouching?
I only do slight acne/scars removal upon request. I do not do body reshaping.

Yes! I randomly need Volunteers for Photoshoots for my Monthly Ads or to update my gallery or just for practice. I also love working with new models! Usually Volunteers can purchase a copy of the photoshoot for $25.
Which months are the busiest? Waitlist? Best time to book a session?
Usually April/May and October/November are the MOST busy months. One month in advance booking is always best. During this time, I do a waitlist, but it’s a no guarantee.
Do you do Sports Team Sessions?
Yes! I offer a Prints Package for these sessions.
Can I share my photos that are posted on the Nicole Bradley Photography Facebook Page?
Sure!! Share them with everyone! And don’t forget to invite your family and friends to Like my page! I usually have some good deals going on every month. 🙂
I want to join the Nicole Bradley Photography MODELS (NBMODELS), what do I need to do?
Currently, the NBMODELS is on hiatus until 2019. There will be an audition process. You will not need to be present but more information will be out later this year! You can contact me for more info.
I saw a photo on Pinterest that I really like, Can you duplicate the photo?
I’m open to all ideas. And I’m always happy to see any photos that inspires you. I can try and incorporate the idea into the session but it will not look 100% like the photo. Each photographer has their own style, different camera, editing techniques, different lighting and may be hard to duplicate. BUT I will try and do a similar idea, such as the same pose with my own twist.
Can I leave a Review?
Sure! All reviews can be found and left at the Nicole Bradley Photography Facebook Page. All reviews are appreciated!
